The Broadstairs Society was founded in 1964 with the aim to protect the charm and character of Broadstairs & St Peters and its future.

This aim is achieved by:

• encouraging high standards of architecture and town planning
• stimulating interest in and care for the beauty, history and character of the Town and its surroundings
• encouraging the preservation, development and improvement of features of general public amenity or historic interest
• pursuing these ends by means of meetings, exhibitions, lectures, publications, other forms of instructions and publicity and promotion of schemes of a charitable nature.
